Parque Infantil Cuauhtemoc

After a long drive south we headed into the heart of Morelia for Thomas's next new find Parque Infantil Cuauhtemoc.

My finds had been quite obvious. Thomas had somehow managed to spot this coaster. Can you see it?

It's a little obvious in the historic imagery where this one was taken on a much clearer day. The figure 8 is a giveaway for a Wacky Worm.

After finding a parking space near the park, we paid the random attendant some Pesos and made our way into the park. Well Thomas had gotten the name right.

and the amusement park was open

and we did have a coaster. Great work Thomas!

But the Wacky Worm didn't want to come out and play, and with no sign of any attendant it didn't look like we would get to ride it.

Elsewhere the park looked busy.

So here we drew a blank. A quick chat with the parking attendant revealed that the coaster only opened on weekends and today being Friday it was closed. Unlike the closed rides near the airport, this one was too far a drive to reattempt on the trip even with the slack we'd factored in. Considering in the run up to leaving for this trip we discussed dropping it completely I'm still glad we didn't. Confirming the coaster is still a success!

and whilst in Morelia why not check it out?
