If we continue south for another 10 minutes you come across yet another gathering of rides on a small plot of land, this time above the Refugio Metro station.
Another coaster that was more clearer on street view than satellite. I wonder if that chap sat there is waiting for the ride to open?
We had the same issue, the coaster was looking exactly like it was in that photo, all wrapped up with nowhere to go.
A chat with a local revealed that this one wouldn't open until 5pm, so we were quite early; 3 hours early in fact.
So we had a quick explore of the other rides.
Roadrunner kebab!
We spotted a local church and went inside to pray for time to move forward quickly, and when we emerged something crazy had happened!
It was several hours later, the caterpillar had been revealed to the world, and making 3 dumb explorers very happy the ride was operating.
(actually what had happened was we'd gone somewhere else and returned later in the day)
So it was another kiddy one, but it was operating and that's all that mattered.
In the back corner of the park they were setting up a wrestling ring for a lucha libre show later in the evening. Now I was trying to organise tickets for just such an event and this might have been worth sticking around for but we elected to head back to our hotel rather than wait around, or pray in a church for time travel again.
So with the rides photographed and the coaster ridden it was time to leave.
